Co-Parenting

Creating a Workable Parenting Plan

A perfect or almost perfect parenting plan or parenting schedule will look a little bit different for each family which is why a cookie cutter approach to parenting plans rarely works well. I highly suggest watching these videos before you meet with me or another lawyer to create a parenting plan. It is important to remember that you need to put the children's best interests first and your best interests second. I think that a good parenting plan is one that is expected to change and that considers the short, medium, and long terms needs. Think of it as an investment in your children, your mental health, and a brighter more predictable future.

Co-parenting: Are they really suffering from borderline personality disorder?

Are they really suffering from borderline personality disorder?

Another one of the more common mental health issues that show up in family court is borderline personality disorder. With or without a formal diagnosis, it helps to be aware of what you can do to work with someone who is or who may be struggling with borderline personality disorder. It is a good idea to speak with your family doctor about any mental health concerns that you have related to yourself or another parent.
